CHICKS ON SPEED

style="font-family:verdana">style="font-family:verdana">I met Chicks On Speed in 2000 in Jerusalem. My friends Pil and Galia Collective invited Chicks On Speed to headline an event that they curated at Habama theatre- where I was artist of residence. I met Alex, Mellisa, and Kiki and we immediately clicked, their performance was genius, I loved it. The next days we spent visiting Jerusalem and Jaffa – they were shooting a Glamour Girl video. Two years later we met again in London at Meltdown (London Southbank) I invited them to do a talk at Goldsmiths college- where I studied at the time, after that I joined them on their world tour starting with the Electroclash tour 2002, first as a VJ, and later as performer, video maker, and writer on albums Cutting the Edge (2009) and Artstravaganza (2014), I release my solo album Virtual Leisure (2008) on Chicks On Speed label and I have been part of Chicks on Speed since then. In 2007 artist Douglas Gordon collaborated on Art Rules album, which encouraged art institutions and galleries to invite us to make new work and exhibitions“Art-Rules-Crew” was then formed between Douglass and Chicks On Speed with extended members.
